STUDY FOCUS: Nomenclature Standardization + Field Test Specimens

Good morning, and thank you for your continued participation. I noticed your engagement metrics with our first transmission were quite favorable. We find this encouraging.

I've been instructed to note that my coffee consumption has increased by 37% since documenting these experiments began. The correlation between caffeine intake and nomenclature precision appears statistically significant. Further research may be warranted, though my supervisors seem uninterested in funding this particular study.

TECHNICAL CLASSIFICATION PROTOCOL

As promised in our previous documentation, we're detailing our recently implemented nomenclature system today. Precise classification enables efficient communication about our compounds and prevents potentially catastrophic misidentification errors.

While functional for initial experiments, the previous system lacked scalability as our laboratory expanded its operations. What was once called PC-FT23 (Field Trouser) has evolved into PC-SS-P23 (Standard Series Pant). This isn't merely semantic adjustment. It's a fundamental reorganization of our classification architecture.

PRIMARY CLASSIFICATION MATRIX

Our technical garments are now organized within two primary categories:

PC: Permanent Concept

Technical garments utilizing performance materials and functional construction. These represent our core laboratory output.

A: Adaptable (Coming 2026)

Experimental variations of Permanent Concept designs using contrasting materials while maintaining the original silhouette.

SECONDARY SERIES CLASSIFICATION

Within each primary category, we've established five distinct operational series:

SS: Standard Series

Core uniform pieces form the foundation of the Greg Laboratory wardrobe. Format Example: PC-SS-P23 (Standard Series Pant developed in 2023)

TS: Technical Series

Performance-oriented pieces with elevated functionality and specialized features. Format Example: PC-TS-Q24 (Technical Series Quarter Zip developed in 2024)

FS: Field Study Series

Training, athletic, and performance wear designed with clinical precision. Format Example: PC-FS-T24 (Field Study Series Tee developed in 2024)

ES: Equipment Series

Accessories and tools that complement the garment systems. Format Example: PC-ES-S25 (Equipment Series Scarf coming in F/W 2025)

CS: Collaborative Series

Collaborations with other entities, designated by collaborator initial. Format Example: PC-CS-X25 (Collaborative Series designation reserved for future partnerships)

I've been instructed that this classification is being held in reserve for potential future collaborative experiments. The specific entities remain undetermined at this time. Management insists on maintaining this empty placeholder in our system. Seems unnecessarily mysterious to me, but what do I know? I document the experiments.

TERTIARY TYPE DESIGNATION

The third segment of our classification identifies the specific garment type:

  • P = Pant/Trouser

  • S = Short

  • SS = Short Sleeve Shirt

  • LS = Long Sleeve Shirt

  • SK = Skirt/Kilt

  • J = Jacket

  • T = Tie/Tee (context-dependent)

  • Q = Quarter Zip

  • IJ = Insulated Jacket

  • C = Cap

YEAR IDENTIFIER

The final numerical component indicates the year of initial development:

  • 23 = 2023

  • 24 = 2024

  • 25 = 2025

For revised versions within the same year, we employ decimal notation:

  • PC-SS-P23.1 (Standard Series Pant 2023, Version 1)

  • PC-SS-P23.2 (Standard Series Pant 2023, Version 2)

This classification system provides precise identification while maintaining our laboratory aesthetic. It creates clear organization while allowing flexibility for future expansion.

FIELD TEST SPECIMENS: DROP 1 RELEASE

As our research advances, we're preparing to release our fourth season of field test specimens on May 13, 2025 (4 days from now). These compounds have undergone rigorous internal testing and are now ready for broader environmental application.

The following specimens have been approved for external deployment:

PC-SS-P23 (Standard Series Pant)

Available in Standard Black and Technical Cream

The foundation of our uniform system has been refined through multiple iterations. Our 2025 formula now utilizes a poly face with cotton back construction, significantly increasing both comfort metrics and formality coefficients.

Most notably, we've revolutionized the radius pocket, our signature identifier with a split pocket design that quadruples effective storage capacity. This advancement has eliminated the need for the rear zipper pocket present in earlier versions.

Material composition: 90% Poly / 10% Cotton (232 GSM)

Construction features: Elasticated waistband, internal drawcord, functional fly with zipper, 24L snap closure, and pleated front.

MATERIAL ATTRIBUTES:

  • QUICK DRY

  • EASY CARE

  • WATER ABSORPTION

  • ANTISTATIC THREAD

  • STRETCH

  • ANTI-PILLING
